Where's Bruce?

The search begins.

Hello. My name is Drake and I am a college student in Northeast Indiana. With this site, I hope that some reader out there will aid me in my search for a beloved pet.

One day, two summers ago, something amazing happened to me. An event that has changed my life more than I will probably ever know. On that faithful day, I stepped outside, for a moment, to retrieve something from my car. This is when it all happened.

As I made my way across the lawn, I noticed something that I had never noticed before. A large, blue, plastic ant simply laying in the grass. At first I was surprised as I had no idea how such a toy would find its way into my procession, but soon I was just astounded at the fact that ants of this magnitude were even produced. But, despite awe and dismay, this manufactured insect had found its way into my life.

Ever since that day, Bruce and I were best friends. I took him practically everywhere possible. He loved to ride in the car with me and watch other cars pass by. He traveled with my to Arkansas along with two other friends and basked in the warm southern sunlight. Family vacations were another one of Bruce’s favorite things, but this would prove to be tragic.

In the summer of 2008, my family took and vacation to Lake Gaston, Virgina, and who tagged along? None other than the giant, lovable, plastic ant, of course. The hours dragged as we drove through the winding West Virgina mountains, but he was there to keep me company in the backseat. Stopping at various rest stops, my mom would take pictures and always remembered to include the new, honorary family member. The week of vacation came and past, but I lost more than a week of working. For when I returned home, Bruce was nowhere to be found.
